About June

I’m no June Cleaver. “Domestic” isn’t a word that often enters my vocabulary. When I’m not busy blogging, I’m busy running my marketing firm, stepping out on the town or hitting the high seas (or cruising the Intercoatal) with friends near Miami in (sometimes) Sunny South Florida. I love technology (especially Web 2.0), photography, home products (particularly those that minimize or eliminate my domestic duties), and garden products (only those appropriate for those of us with a “Black Thumb.”) I simply adore fashion, entertainment, body and health products, as well as travel and any culinary products.

If you don’t believe me – in (nearly) 30 years, I’ve traveled to more than 25 countries and I speak 4 languages. A quick look at my blog will show that, after getting engaged in September, 2009, I spent quite a bit of time in the Caribbean planning my Bahamas destination wedding – which was this June, at sunset, on the beach in Nassau. I spend more money on the items in my closet and in my kitchen than I have on any other room in my house – including my garage (and I drive a convertible Carrera). My husband and I both work in marketing – and he is an absolutely gadget and gaming addict who keeps me up to date on the latest gadgets, products, services, apps, websites, and social tools to try.

I don’t have kids – yet – but I have a 14 year old fashionista stepdaughter and a 6 year old God son who I would gladly adopt in a heartbeat. I’m in the middle of the absolutely gut-wrenching process of buying a home in South Florida, and I’m looking forward to hopefully closing on our dream project home, where I’ll be spending the next year with my husband redoing room by room – starting, of course, with the kitchen.

I do have two dogs – a 7 year old Springer Spaniel and a 2 year old Maltese. The Springer has been with me since I moved out on my own, and is the most loving dog I’ve ever known (even if his separation anxiety means he is quite literally always at my side). My Maltese was my Key West souvenir from a trip I took for the holidays two years ago, and she established herself as the alpha female the moment we opened her carrier to welcome her to her new home (the Springer doesn’t seem to mind, or notice that he’s being bossed around by a dog 1/10th his size). My cat, a 4 lb Siamese/tabby mix, adopted us in June after her previous owner threw her and her litter mates into the canal behind our house. She is our little angel and has survived against all odds to round out our little pack.

Obviously – I review products, although I blog about personal life as well. If you have a product appropriate to my life, my pets, or my hobbies, I’d love to hear from you. Please, pitch me your product or service. However, if you haven’t read my disclosure yet – please note: I am a classically trained journalist, and I treat my blog as such. I don’t accept payment for posts, and I purposely don’t accept advertising. My views are my own, and they are all honest. That said – if you want me to review your product – you’d better expect to send one. Hi-res images of whatever it is you’re promoting don’t give me enough to work with – so don’t waste my time or yours. Legit, relevant pitches are always welcome at imnojunecleaverblog [at] gmail [dot] com.
