I absolutely hate New Year’s Resolutions. Those grandiose promises we make ourselves when we are full of champagne and sentiment never seem to make it past the following morning’s hangover (except, perhaps, that resolution you make to never drink again, which may last a few days – depending on the severity of said aches). Less than 24 hours after the Department of Agriculture announced they were slapping a 15-cents per tree tax on Christmas tree growers, the Obama administration backed off on the plan.
